How to Sync Todoist Tasks to Google Calendar Events

First, open your Todoist settings and click on the "Integrations" tab. Then, find the Google Calendar integration and click the "Add to Google Calendar" button. A pop-up will appear asking you to review the permissions - make sure you click "Allow" so that Todoist can access your calendar. Next, open your Google Calendar and create a new event. Under the "Add guests" field, start typing in the name of the task you want to link to this event. A drop-down menu will appear with the matching task - select it and hit "Save".


That's it! Your task is now synced with a calendar event. You can view and edit it from either platform. If you need to, you can also add additional information to the event, like notes or a location. This is a great way to keep track of your to-do list and make sure you're staying on top of your tasks. It's also helpful if you like to have everything in one place so you can see what's coming up on your calendar at a glance.


Connecting Your Todoist Account to Google Calendar

  • Now, every time you create a task in Todoist, it will automatically be added as an event to your Google Calendar! You can even set due dates and reminders for your tasks, and they'll show up in Calendar just like any other event.

  • Once you've made your selections, click on the "Save" button and you're all set!


Now, every time you create a new task in Todoist, it will automatically be added to your Google Calendar. This is a great way to keep track of everything you need to do, and make sure that nothing falls through the cracks.


Customizing Your Sync Preferences

Adjusting Frequency of Syncing

​If you're like me, you probably have a lot of to-dos piling up in your Todoist. And if you're also like me, you're always looking for ways to be more productive and get things done more efficiently. So I thought, why not write a blog about how to sync your Todoist tasks to Google Calendar events?


The first thing you need to do is go into your Todoist settings and select the "Sync" tab. From there, you need to select the "Google Calendar" option. Once you've done that, you'll need to sign in to your Google account and grant Todoist access to your calendar. Once you've done that, all of your Todoist tasks will be automatically added to your Google Calendar as events. You can even adjust the frequency of the sync so that it happens more or less often, depending on your needs.


I find that this is a great way to stay organized and on top of my to-dos, because I can easily see when I need to work on something and schedule it into my day accordingly. And if something comes up that I need to add to my to-do list, I can just add it to my calendar and it will automatically sync over to Todoist. Integrating Other Calendars with Todoist

​When you create a new task in Todoist, you can set a number of default settings for that task. These settings will be applied to all new tasks that you create, unless you specifically change them for a particular task. This can be a great time saver if you find yourself regularly creating tasks with the same settings. In this article, we'll show you how to set up your default task settings. To change your default task settings, first click on the settings icon in the top right corner of your Todoist window. Then, click on the "General" tab. Towards the bottom of the page, you will see the "Default task settings" section. Here, you can select the default settings for your tasks, including the project, due date, priority, and reminder.


If you want to sync your Todoist tasks to Google Calendar, you can select the "Sync to Google Calendar" option. This will cause all of your tasks to be added to your Google Calendar as events. You can also specify how far in advance of the due date you want the event to be added to your calendar. Once you've selected your default settings, click the "Save changes" button at the bottom of the page. Your new settings will be applied to all future tasks that you create.


Automatically Scheduling Tasks in Google Calendar

​If you're like me, you're always looking for ways to automate your to-do list. And what better way to do that than to sync your Todoist tasks to your Google Calendar events?


Here's how to do it:


  1. Go to your Todoist settings and select the "Integrations" tab.

  2. Scroll down to the Google Calendar integration and click "Enable."

  3. A pop-up window will appear asking you to log in to your Google account. Once you've done that, click "Allow."

  4. You'll be taken back to the Todoist settings page, where you'll see a new "Sync" tab. Click on that.

  5. Select the projects you want to sync, then click "Sync Now."


That's it! Your Todoist tasks will now show up as events in your Google Calendar.


Troubleshooting Sync Issues

​It can be really frustrating when you're trying to stay organized and on top of your to-do list, but you're finding that your Todoist tasks and Google Calendar events just aren't syncing up the way they're supposed to. Here are a few troubleshooting tips to help you get your Todoist and Google Calendar sync back on track.


  • First, check the sync settings in your Todoist account. Go to Settings > Integrations and make sure that the Google Calendar integration is turned on.

  • Next, check the sync settings in your Google Calendar account. Go to Settings > Calendars and select the Todoist calendar. Make sure that the sync option is turned on.

  • If the sync settings are turned on in both accounts but you're still not seeing your Todoist tasks in Google Calendar, try disconnecting and reconnecting the two accounts. To do this in Todoist, go to Settings > Integrations and click the Disconnect button next to the Google Calendar integration. Then sign back into your Google account and click the Connect button.

  • If you're still having trouble, it's possible that there's an issue with the way your Todoist tasks are formatted. Try editing a task in Todoist and adding or removing a due date. Then save the task and see if it appears in Google Calendar.

  • If you're still not seeing your Todoist tasks in Google Calendar, try contacting Todoist support for help.
